Easily Create New Items and Edit Existing Items from a Browser
Overview
webDFR is a web based version of DFR that can be operated from your browser. To help insure new items are created correctly the first time, webDFR can compliment your NPI – New Part Creation Process. It can be integrated to your PLM system to promote seamless integration between PLM and DFR, when creating new parts. webDFR can also be used to edit existing data in DFR.
The Primary features in webDFR include:
- Easily navigate classification structure to find categories for new items
- Expose category and attribute properties including category attachments
- Provide allowed values lists for string attributes and unit of measures for numeric
- Validate date entries and easily identify errors
- Reclassify items between categories
- Create item relationships
- WSSO integration
ARCHITECTURE
webDFR is an ASP.net web application that works in both SQL and Oracle DFR environments.
Hardware & Software Requirements
webDFR Server Minimum System Requirements:
- Microsoft Windows Server 2003/2008
- DFR Server (in close proximity or same system)
- Oracle client drivers provided by customer (10g to 11g)
(DFR Oracle database only)
- Microsoft IIS 7.0 or newer
- Microsoft .NET framework v3.5
- Microsoft .NET framework v4.0
- 4 gigabytes RAM
- 50 megabytes free disk space per webDFR installation
